About this event
This Pool Session is split into two hour long sessions. This late session starts at 11:30am and ends at 12:45am.
Arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled slot to wash and move kayaks and gear.
Pool sessions are a great way to comfortably learn or practice kayak skills. In the pool you can learn or practice without the distractions of cold water, wind and waves so you can focus on skills like wet exits, self and assisted rescues or rolling. More experienced members will be there to help offer coaching/advice. So don't worry if you are a beginner.
You will need to bring a boat, paddle and sprayskirt. Other recommended equipment is a swimsuit, a wetsuit top (for those who get cold easily), goggles and a nose-clip (if rolling), and your PFD (it's good to practice skills with a PFD since you will be wearing it on the water).
Bob Rivet will be available for one-on-one bracing and rolling instruction during the pool sessions. If interested, once you have successfully registered for the pool session you must then make arrangements with Bob directly (email listed for registered club members). There are limited spots available each session.
Pre-registration is required.
