We will launch from the Fairhaven boat launch, near the Community Boating Center. PLEASE BE READY TO LAUNCH ON TIME. If you are launching from Boulevard Park, you will need to make your own way to the water just in front of the CBC. We will adjust according to daylight hours.
If launching from an alternative site, plan to meet the group on water near CBC at the posted starting time. 

Route: Southbound along the shore to the end of Clark's Point and back (6.5 miles round trip) unless the group chooses an alternative. Moderate pace (3 knots or so). There is usually an after-paddle pint and fish & chips gathering at the Stone's Throw pub in Fairhaven (1009 Larrabee Ave.).

NOTE: Please be respectful of other users, particularly at the CBC launch, which can get busy on Wednesday evenings especially after May 1st. Don't block the launch. Do not park in the "roundabout". Enter and leave the area quickly and leave room for others when possible. Ask for help if you need help getting a kayak from your car to the launch ramp.
Consider using restrooms and parking off-site to avoid interfering with CBC traffic, especially during the summer.

Dress: Be ready for cold water. Neoprene or drysuit are highly recommended.

Skill Level: Level 2 = Moderate protection from land; crossings less than 1nm; intermittent access to landing spots, easy to moderate landings; moderate wind effect (generally <10kt); moderate currents possible (<1kt); wind waves and some whitecaps possible, might break over bow (<2ft); Must be Able to Swim, Wet Exit, Assisted Rescue, Bracing
