About this event

What we will do and why people would want to attend.

We will paddle launch from Washington Park in Anacortes and ride the current to paddle around both Burrows and Allen Island. On the way there will be a chance to get out of our boats and check on the progress of the Burrows lighthouse restoration. Allan Island is a no-go zone so we won’t be able to break until we are back near Burrows, Peartree Bay. On the way back through Borrows Pass we might encounter some usually very manageable eddy lines and as we round Fidalgo Head we may encounter some confused waters. The entire trip is 7.2nm in length and should about 2.5h, not counting brakes and play time in currents. Paddling speed will be around 3 knots.

To take advantage of the tides we will return to WA Park near dusk, please make sure to bring some sort of light source (see req. equipment below).
